In Bihar’s Begusarai, a famous criminal Heeragaj Yadav died suspiciously in police custody on Thursday. After this, there was a stir in the police administration. In a hurry, the police have taken the dead body to Begusarai Sadar Hospital for postmortem. At the same time, the family members are immersed in mourning and a tense situation has developed in the village. The case is of Bakhri police station area. The deceased has been identified as Heeragaj Yadav, a resident of Ballia village of Ghagra panchayat of Bakri police station area.
According to the information, the death of famous criminal Heeragaj is reported to have taken place at Bakhri police station premises at around 9.30 pm on Thursday. In fact, in the village itself, there was a fight between the two sides over the land dispute and there was also an incident of firing. In this connection, Bakhri police station had brought Heeragaj Yadav to Bakhri police station for verification of the case. He was made to sit on a platform built in the police station.
The relatives told that the police had kept Hiragaj Yadav in their custody since 11 o’clock in the day. Suddenly it is known that he has died. The relatives have accused the police from Sanchore of murder. He said that he died under the supervision of the police. Police is responsible for this death.
Police said that Hiragaj Yadav suddenly fell unconscious. The police personnel present there tried to revive him, but he did not regain consciousness. In a hurry, the police picked him up from that place and took him to Bakhri PHC for treatment. Where the doctors declared him dead.
Confirming the death of Hiragaj, SP Yogendra Kumar said that the patrol vehicle had received information about arson and firing from Hiragaj. He was brought to the police station for his verification. The SP said that such information is being received that the deceased was also convicted in a murder case. He said that CCTV has been installed in the police station. He has spoken of getting an inquiry into Hiragaz’s death.
On the other hand, the brother of the deceased told about this incident that in the village itself there was a fight by people of one side over a land dispute. Hiragaz got hurt in this fight. Police had reached there in a hurry and picked him up from that place and kept him sitting on a stretcher instead of treatment, suddenly he collapsed. Hiragaj fainted after falling. After fainting, the police hurriedly took him to Bakhri PHC. Where the doctors declared him dead. At present, the police has sent the dead body to Begusarai Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Now only after the post mortem report comes, it will be revealed what is the cause of death. According to information, Hiragaz was a well-known criminal in his area and was in jail for 12 years. He came out of jail in 2023.
The relatives told that a dispute was going on with the Sahni family over one bigha of land. On Wednesday evening, there was a dispute between the two parties regarding the land dispute. In this case, the police had kept him in custody.
